Ousmane Dembele joins catalan side for €105m

The 20-year-old sealed his dream move to the Catalan side after the clubs reached an agreement, making him the second most expensive player in history. Barcelona completed the signature of Ousmane Dembele of Borussia Dortmund in a potentially valid deal of 147 million euros. Barca confirmed an initial fee of 105 million euros for Dembele, with Dortmund receiving an additional 42 million bonuses. The forward release clause was set at € 400 million. The 222 million euros received from Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar triggered the pursuit of the Dembele League and Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool in high season, but they saw bids for each rejected. While Liverpool insisted on their insistence that Coutinho is not for sale, Dortmund surrendered to Dembele's wishes and allowed him to leave. The international of France has clearly expressed his desire to join the camp of Ernesto Valverde by jumping, resulting in the indefinite suspension of Dortmund. Dembele spent only one season in Germany after joining Rennes for 15 million euros in July 2016, scoring 10 goals in 50 games in all BVB competitions. He will arrive in Spain during the weekend to undergo a doctor and sign his contract before his official unveiling at Camp Nou Monday. It is the fifth that Barça has made in the current window, joining Marlon, Nelson Semedo, Paulinho and Gerard Deulofeu by going to Camp Nou.
