2FACE, ANNIE IDIBIA: COUPLES 4TH ANNIVERSARY AND THE REWARD FOR SECOND CHANCE
Yesterday, March 23, 2017 is 2Face’s fourth wedding anniversary with Annie Idibia
Four solid years of being married to one woman – 2Face Idibia, wow!
This is not a disrespect or shade or anything; as a matter of fact, this is me being totally in awe of 2Face Idibia and his wife Annie. They have really come far together.
“18yrs ago I met this beautiful human being and 4yrs ago she said yes 2 be by my side thru it all.” reads 2Face’s anniversary message to his bae on IG.
Their love story is so sensational, and as this article aims to bring to remembrance, it is a great lesson in the amazing things that can happen when couples learn to forgive and tap into the possibilities granted by second chances.
Anyone who reads their romantic anniversary messages to each other today might be forgiven for thinking it has been plain sailing from the first time they met till date. But of course we all know that’s not the case.
The Iconic singer has a well-documented history with women; Baba is much of a legend in music as he is at sowing wild oats on fields near and far but hey… that’s all in the past now and going deep into it is as pointless as the ‘ay’ in ‘ok.’
Tubaba forayed into the wild, did everything he shouldn’t have done, all the things that could have made Annie blameless if she had woke up one morning, dusted her behind and left him for good.
But, impressively, she did not. And that is why they are where they are today – happy together, a power couple in their own right, serving marriage and relationship goals.
Of course there would be none of that if she had not taken him back [they had a long breakup of one and half years back in the day], and that is what strikes the mind most as the couple continually grow stronger together.
It is a lesson everyone needs to learn: your relationship does not have to end when your partner cheats on you.
The point of forgiveness and second chances is to try and see how to mend what is broken, to work towards fixing what seems ruined, not walking away.
This is not an article promoting infidelity or cheating, no; it’s not even a condemnation of those who choose to walk away from cheating partners.
The aim is to remind you that there might be an alternative to cutting off ties with an unfaithful partner. Walking away is not always the way out.
Taking back a cheating partner after whatever mess they have created will not be easy, of course.
And as a matter of fact, such partner will need to promise and go a long way to show that he/she is willing and ready to take the relationship/marriage as his priority and to make it work.
If both partners agree and are willing to work towards the continuous existence of the relationship, they can truly make things work.
And as TuFace as Annie and Idibia’s marriage shows, second chances can lead to real joy.
